What is Evolution?

“We began as a mineral.
We emerged into plant life, and into the animal state, and then into being human, and always we have forgotten our former states, except in early spring when we slightly recall being green again.
That’s how a young person turns towards a teacher.
That’s how a baby leans toward the breast, without knowing the secret of its desire, yet turning instinctively.
Humankind is being led along an evolving course, through the migration of intelligences, and though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are.”

Water Bending

Avatar: The Last Airbender might be one of the greatest animations I've watched all decade. Hands Down. When the Fire Nation attacked it was as if time stood still. Then Katara and Sokka found Aang in that ball of ice and I was totally engrossed in all 4 books of the Avatar for about 2 weeks, watching episodes back to back, from dusk til dawn.

Yeah. It was that addictive.

However, as much as I believed that Aang could and eventually would save the world I was more fascinated with Katara, the water bender. Being a water baby myself (♋) I was fascinated with Katara's spirit and drive and of course her ability to bend water (!)

This eventually led to several (failed) attempts to bend water in the shower, at the beach and at the river. I am persistent if nothing else. Which left me thinking, what if we were actually able to control the elements with our minds? It's not as far out as you may think it is when you consider the advances in our evolutionary process so far.

Then again, with power still in the hands of the evil (Babylon), perhaps it's better we hold off on the bending until the righteous are triumphant.

Soon and very soon.

WILL water bend eventually.

The Almond Tree in my Front Yard

"When reality is experienced in its nature of ultimate perfection, an almond tree that may be in your front yard reveals its nature in perfect wholeness. The almond tree is itself truth, reality, your own self. Of all the people who have passed by your yard, how many have really seen the almond tree?
The heart of an artist may be more sensitive; hopefully he or she will be able to see the tree in a deeper way than many others. Because of a more open heart, a certain communion already exists between the artist and the tree. What counts is your own heart. If your heart is not clouded by false views, you will be able to enter into a natural communion with the tree. The almond tree will be ready to reveal itself to you in complete wholeness.
To see the almond tree is to see the way."

There's an almond tree in my front yard. A precious almond tree in my front yard. :) I never noticed it until I started reading this book, The Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh and read the quote you just read above.

Even though I've lived here for 26 years it never really dawned on me that there was this beautiful almond tree in my front yard. So one day I decided to sit under it and meditate, hoping that it would somehow reveal the way to me.

Heart opened, I positioned myself beneath the shade of this magnificent tree and beheld its beauty. Then it came to me. In this moment, just like the almond tree I am perfectly whole and one with the Universe.

so it is and so it shall be for evermore.

Right Peen, Wrong Person

Everything that could be wrong, was. Except the one thing that mattered the most.

He aggravated every bone in her body. But when his body was on top of hers, when his boner was deep inside her, it all seemed to fade away.

We all make bad decisions. Repeatedly. Until we learn the ultimate lesson. The old adage goes, "who cyaah hear mus feel" and it was that feeling that propelled her into his arms time and time again.

And it was a great feeling. Skin against skin, flesh against flesh. The friction. The ecstasy. She wasn't sure what it was but there was something absolutely delectable about this man. Something she tried to resist but could not seem to shake.

He whet her appetite then fed her desire. Continuously. He made every nerve in her body ignite. She felt her kundalini rise every time he stared into her eyes. With each thrust she threw all sense and reason out the window.

Right now he was all she needed. So she turned a blind eye to all the neon signs that screamed:

 "WRONG ONE!"

 "TURN BACK!"

 "ABORT!"

Nope. She kept on pressing forward. Indulging in these fleeting moments.

Temporary Pleasure

This was all she knew. These stolen moments. This was the lesson that she kept failing.

You keep choosing the wrong thing. Men are not toys.  Learn: Person > Penis.

And so the story continues...

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
