Abbreviated Convos

It seems social media has turned us into mimes. I'm tired of attempting to read text written in the abbreviated format. Things are getting out of hand. When did we become so lazy that we cannot even be bothered to finish spelling words or typing vowels? Is it that difficult to move your thumb one extra inch? 

This is foolishness! As an English teacher, writer and editor, nothing grates my nipples more than playing fill in the blanks with people's messages. I refuse to do it any more. REFUSE!
