What is Evolution?

“We began as a mineral.
We emerged into plant life, and into the animal state, and then into being human, and always we have forgotten our former states, except in early spring when we slightly recall being green again.
That’s how a young person turns towards a teacher.
That’s how a baby leans toward the breast, without knowing the secret of its desire, yet turning instinctively.
Humankind is being led along an evolving course, through the migration of intelligences, and though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are.”

The Oolong Cha Challenge

Call me late, but I did not realize until now just how healthy oolong tea is. Apparently it inhibits the absorption of fat in the system which eventually aids in the weight-loss process. Magine dat! No wonder Japanese people seem to never gain weight!

So basically, I've been here for over 3 years and I am only now truly understanding the benefits of something that has been within my grasp. Silly me. I can still remember the first time I had oolong cha. I asked the waiter for sugar because I still hadn't wrapped my head around the whole unsweet tea idea. Needless to say everyone was in shock.

Now, 3 years later and I can't drink tea WITH sugar anymore. Who said people can't change?!

Anyhoo due to this new found information, I've decided to take on an Oolong Cha (cha = tea in Japanese) Challenge. For the next 30 days (or so) I'll be drinking a glass of Oolong cha every day an hour or so before my workout. Of course this will be done in addition to taking my Livatone Plus supplements and eating healthy. If it does what the studies says it does with regards to fat absorption then I should be able to see some visible results by the end of the 30 days.

This is the Oolong in question that I shall be drinking.

I'll update sporadically on any changes.

p.s. click on the title link to read more about the benefits of Oolong tea.

Wish me Luck!

  2. It's really hard to describe the taste. It tastes like unsweetened ice tea I suppose. I shall let you know if it works!

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
