What is Evolution?

“We began as a mineral.
We emerged into plant life, and into the animal state, and then into being human, and always we have forgotten our former states, except in early spring when we slightly recall being green again.
That’s how a young person turns towards a teacher.
That’s how a baby leans toward the breast, without knowing the secret of its desire, yet turning instinctively.
Humankind is being led along an evolving course, through the migration of intelligences, and though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are.”

Reciprocity

Some call it Karma, some call it Justice I like to call it Balance: Ma'at.

The Universe sent me this word today, so here I am, submitting to the Inner Power.

It's funny, every time I hear the word reciprocity I think of Ms. Lauryn Hill.

I think we all know the line: "Tell me who I have to beeeeee to gain some reciprocity."

That line always stuck with me and has now manifest itself here.

All things being fair and equal I would like to think, nay, I would like to believe that the Universe is NOT conspiring to make me, or anyone for that matter, miserable. In as much as I am not conspiring the make this Universe a miserable place.

Just the other day I had a conversation with a friend about natural disasters and Mother Earth. They were of the belief that the Earth was "a bitch" and was somehow conspiring to do evil things like kill people and damage man-made structures out of spite, as if the Earth was a cognitive being that understood the concepts of good and evil and somehow made a conscious decision to "do wrong to all mankind".

My reasoning was this, the Earth as a living organism is concerned with only one thing: Balance.

We are currently existing at the crux of reciprocity with Mother Earth and the Universe at large.

How long were we expecting to take without giving back? To pilfer the Earth, to use without even a show of gratitude? How long were we expecting to tip the Universal scales in our favour before the pendulum reached its maximum height, before the winds and tides change.

In a world of abundance how is it that the few have so much and the masses have so little?  Donkey always said, the world (grung) is not level and he was so true.

A long time ago mankind upset the balance of the Universe; through grandiose egos and delusions of superiority we got disconnected from the divine power of the Universe. A power that allowed us to directly converse with nature, with all living things including Mother Earth.

There was a time when we all lived in peace and harmony on this Earth, then things changed, we changed, but Mother Earth remained the same. But the more we changed was the more we tried to change her and every time we messed with the natural order of things she was forced to maintain balance. Not out of spite and not out of hate but out of love and in accordance with Universal Law.

As human beings we tend to superimpose our own selves onto the things we see and feel in this Universe hence the "Father" God and his "Son" , the "Man in the Moon"  and so many other deities that we made in our image. In doing so we forget one very important and fundamental element:

We are all One.

There is no need to separate our true selves from the powers that flow through the Earth, the Moon and the Stars. There is no need to call them by another name. I and I are one and the same. The Yin and Yang must be maintained in all things. If the I continue to vibrate negative energies into our surroundings then the Universe will constantly be involved in reciprocating that energy.

However, if the I choose to only vibrate love then the Universe will have no other choice, in accordance with reciprocity, to return that love to the I.

Balance will be maintained and love, eternal love, will reign.

iNi

in search of reciprocity.

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
